Dog gate support components

I bought a couple of these gates to keep our dog contained to the garage, kitchen, and laundry room during the day (she also has a dog door so she can play in our fenced in backyard all day). She is very "active" and was jumping over normal sized gates. I needed a ring to stop the gate from tipping over and I needed a standoff for the same reason, but the way our counter terminated in a doorway made it awkward and I could not use the rings. Hopefully the pictures will make it make more sense.
