Here my personal rework about "linear rail upgrade".
First of all I think it is absolutely necessary upgrading only the x axis (as much as adding a 24 V psu) to bring the X5s to another level of performance: the Y axis could be considerated optional.
in my opinion, and due to my experience about, the wheels of X axis stock configuration must be tight too often to avoid precision loss (how it happened to me but not to everyone to be honest).
