Carbon Fiber Intake Runner Molds

These molds were used to make carbon fiber intake runners for our Yamaha R6 engine. The inner mold was laid up 3 layers of carbon fiber and then the outer mold pieces were placed on the outside. The assembled molds with carbon fiber inside were tightly wrapped with tape to hold them together and squeeze out excess resin while being careful not to break the molds. After the resin is cured the molds can be broken off.
