This is a gate latch for an iron surface which does not require any screws to mount. Using 2 strong hard disk or hard drive magnets, the latch mounts magnetically adhere to the gate surface. At the same time the iron rod (ikea curtain rod) also adheres to the magnetics so it can stay up but yet still slide down when needed. This gate stopper could be used as a gate latch as well (horizontally).

Please note that this latch will NOT survive large wind or other large forces and impacts.
