Octagonal Ceiling Lamp

I found a similar lamp like this and designed this by memory and this is my first lamp I ever designed.

Edit:
Its being hold now by the base that gets screwed in the ceiling and then the lamp simply screws on the base, I made it for sockets like the E27 (seen in the picture) with the L hanger.

Please help me improve it, I am teaching myself to design and would love to see what you guys think of it and what could be done better.
