Made specifically to fit Seachem bottles. It does fit beneath the original lid. The hole for the syringe is tapered slightly to accommodate different syringes.

I used TPU so it'd cram in and form a very tight fit against the bottle and the syringe. Really not sure how well it'd do with any other material.
