this is a dipole antenna i made for 2m/70cm HAM radio. uses 3mm rod for the whips themselves since brazing rods were what was best available in store, a bent and cut CB antenna is what I used, same size. Cut those to 20 inches and when put in the insert, should be about a perfect half wave 2m antenna. Also uses 15mm (or 5/8") square tube for the holding arm, and m2 screws for tension and continuity from the coax leads to the antennas. printed with PETG for UV resistance since my setup is a more permanent installation, PLA would be strong enough but would probably not last as long. in my photos it is painted with a clear coat to try to preserve the exposed copper from the ground
