2nd Gen (R56) MINI Cooper Shift Boot Delete

This is a 2-piece shift boot delete kit for the 2nd generation (new) MINI Cooper, 2007-2013. This was originally downloadable from the manufacturer after they stopped producing them, but I've long forgotten where it came from originally. You will need a rubber grommet and a spring to make this kit complete. Recommend using a high-heat, UV resistant filament if you keep your car outside. The spring I used is a classic mini part, but any light duty spring of about the same dimensions will work.

Spring: Lucas P/N: 250691 "Starter Motor Return Spring" or "Starter Motor Pinion Return Spring"
Grommet: You'll want essentially a thick rubber washer, at least 40-45mm in diameter with a hole in the center that's roughly 17mm in diameter. I made mine out of heavy duty foam that was about 1/4" thick (~6.35mm). If using a rubber washer, 2 to 3mm thickness should be sufficient.
