3-tier box

There are a couple of boxes like this on thingiverse, but neither has lids and so I set out to design my own. The boxes were designed by makeabox.io, and everything else done in Corel DRAW. The lid hinges come from my previous Thing, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:923246.

It takes maybe half an hour to cut, but forever (allow 3 hours) to build. The hinges are joined by short lengths of 3mm dowel, but I'd probably cut some square lengths of wood/MDF to use in future versions, and that would mean changing the size of the washers and probably the bars. You can put the washers inside the box, or on the outside of the linking bars.

It's meant for 1/8" (3.2mm) material, but can be scaled. I've put the parts of the outer sides and top together so that you can easily add engravings, but there might be some duplicated lines.
