hex stand for miniatures

I have had miniatures for Star Fleet Battles for over 25 years and recently the shelf I had them displayed on fell. Not the first time something like this happened. As I struggled with getting all the little parts put together, I realized I would need more - and better - stands. It inspired me to do a quick miniature stand design.
