Use Sunscreen Bag Tag

Printed tag in UV color change PLA. The lettering was printed in white PLA.
The tags were scaled to fit onto the kids' backpack straps.
In the sunlight the tags go purple and and the lettering stands out clearly against the background.
As soon as the tags find shade, the background goes back to white.
