Double Wide Marquee Scroller mods

I *love* the ESP8266 Double Wide Marquee Scroller News Weather Clock but I wanted to do a couple of things differently.

1. I wanted to mount it on an elevated pole mount using OpenBeam parts
2. I didn't want to solder directly to the display board

To achieve these goals I modified two parts from the original referenced above.
