This is my adapter from a Agena Synta / Vixen style dovetail mount to a weaver rail for use in mounting a laser to my telescope. The weaver rail in my design does not have any recoil slots, but the mount on my laser has no use for the recoil slots to lock it in position.

I'm using the Pinty green dot laser that comes with a weaver/picatinny rail mounting clamp purchased from Amazon for less than $20. I chose this specific laser because it has on board adjustment of the XY position, so there
