This is a bearing-less version of the Piper 2's X gantry, using common 4mm OD PTFE (Teflon) tubes as sliders.

The problem with steel linear rods is that they are very heavy and the problem with using any other kind of rod is that the linear bearings will chew soft metals/composites like gum. The co
