If you are looking for a cheap 300W+ PSU, HP ESP-128 is more then great. Constant 26A at 12V for all your DC needs.
Only drawback of this PSU is that it is being cooled by the fans that are in the server, so you need to add additional cooling so that the PSU will not change into smoke making machine when used as standalone power source :)
The part I've designed besides the place for two 40x40mm FANs also has place for two status LEDs, XT60 connector and on/off switch.
