Lotus Elise/Exige steering wheel badge emblem base

As these cars get older, the finish on both the airbag cover and on the steering wheel center emblem start to fall apart. It's easy enough to refinish the airbag with plastidip as many have done, but the emblem is more difficult as it is semi-permanently mounted into the airbag with metal tabs. If you need to remove those, it is difficult to install (or even to find) a new one.
