This is a replacement for the part that clips into the top of the HTC Vive, covers the cable connections, and provides an anchor point for the top strap.
WARNING: this part is not strong. It may well break during use.
I modeled this for another redditor who broke theirs. I have tested that it clips in successfully, but I haven't tested the strength much. It seems fairly weak, which makes sense, as the headset is supported on a number of 1mm-thick ledges within the clip. I strongly suspect
