We bought these outlets, but later discovered they have an strange design on the bottom, keeping a gap open. Where unsure if this is part of the design, or if it is actually meant to sit deeper in the wall since that would need a rather perfect cutout in the wall since it has little overlap.

We already had bigger holes in our wall plaster so we needed the extra filling anyway, so we dec
