Sliding door on carpet guide

I had a DIY challenge to install a wardrobe sliding door on a carpeted space. The original door guides are screwed to the floor on both side and in between the sliding doors to keep them in position while sliding. In my opinion it is no so aesthetic to have a plastic guide in the front visible, also might scratch the door front...

So, after long thinking I came up with an idea to have a small 4mm gap cut out from the bottom of the door with my hand router and create a small plastic 3D printed
