If an Eberspacher parking heater unit needs to be opened the locking tabs in internal ECU connector are most probably cracked. This prevents ensuring the connector stays safely in its place when connected. Connector can be replaced with a new one, but it costs a lot + a special tool is required to release the contact pins.
