Here is a bird dish that can be mounted on a roughed up PVC 1/2" pipe.
PLA, PETG, Flexible, and ABS are all good choices for this print.

I have a pair of cockatiels and they didn't take very much time at all to figure out there was food in side of the block. The top is mostly intended to stop one bird from sitting on top of the food and blocking for access for the other.
