This is the best Taranis hall effect gimbal protector that you can ever find!
Why? Because it DOES NOT FALL OFF! And it looks cool. Sort of.
I used the fact that gimbal sticks can be moved around to lock the protector in place. It will stay attached until you unlock it by moving the stick to the right or left most position.
Downsides:
1. It is only known to work with M9 and M7 gimbals that have flat face plates.
2. You have to measure your gimbals and use the Customizer app (use Open
