This is an A4988 Heat sink Locator Template which allows you to position the heat sink in a consistent way.
I made this for my A4988 controllers (X3 for CNC) to improve the heat sink position to clear other components. See Photos for usage and the final position achieved.
A4988 PCB's may vary a lot so best to test position by printing one and see that you are happy with position. If not adjust the template in openscad and re-print. There are just two offsets ( x and y) from the center of
