Cullman Magnesit 519 tripod clamp replacement

I broke one of the upper clamps on my Cullman Magnesit 519 tripod, which is originally made of magnesium. I took off the measures of the broken part and made an exact copy, then printed it with ColorFabb XT-CF20 filament, which was perhaps not the optimal choice because I realised later that this filament is designed for stiffness, not for strength. But so far, it worked just fine, even if my replacement part is just plastic and the original was metal with the same dimensions.
