Handheld UHF aerial

I have a Uniden UHF handheld radio model UH- 040XR
The radio was dropped and the shroud around the aerial got broken.
Because the radio is many years old, (but it still works) no parts are available anymore.
Being somebody who likes to fiddle, I pulled the back off the radio and discovered I could easily make a new shroud.
I have no idea if this will fit any other make or model UHF radios.
