- A fan tunnel for retaining and cooling diode smoothers.
- These things get hot, so a fan is fairly essential. 60mm in this case.
- The nature of their connections means that they are also a pain to plug in and mount in any way that is both compact and well ventilated. So that's the challenge in this design.
- I use a control fan (comes on whenever a driver/nema is active), so this diode pipe uses that fan to blow air across the smoothers and onto the drivers.
