I made these lamps mainly for photogrammetry, as I needed lots of light from all sides of the objects I was scanning. I've used though "high quality" Chinese led strips giving quite pleasant light in the range from 2800 to 5800K and high frequency speed controller to get rid of the stripes when the lights are dimmed.
