A Newtonian/reflector telescope requires a "Spider" to hold the secondary mirror in the center of the Telescope. This part is the fixture that holds that mirror and allows you to make micro adjustments to the angle and distance to ease collimation or alignment. The slots are designed to accept a thin metal strip such as what is found in drywall corner tape.
This mount is designed for a 10" telescope that has a 62.5mm reflector mirror.
The nut traps are sized to hold a 10-24 nut and the bolts used were 3" screws. Short drywall screws were used to fasten the drywall tape to the fixture.
