The original LEGO iPhone Cable Protector by wkkpatrick is great for Lightning cables made by Apple, however I purchase "U-Youse" brand Lightning cables from Five Below. (They sell a 10-foot cable for only $5!)
The diameter of the plastic shell around the Lightning connection is larger on the U-Youse cable, so I scaled wkkpatrick's design (using CURA 3.6) to fit. In addition, the design was modified so the Lightning connection sticks out more. This way, an iPhone inside an Otterbox Defender
