Some times we get a lot of cones of cotton from a thrift shop or scraps at the end of a industrial reel that is discarded, but the cones do not fit on your standard sewing machine and there is to much cotton on the cone to fit on a spool. Enter ... the ..."Big Bobbin Reel"
I have made a small reel or large bobbin that can fit in a standard bobbin winder and allow you to take up the cotton onto the spool. One of these bad boys can hold at least 4 times the amount on a standard bobbin.
