Airsoft M4 Drum Mag feed tube repair/upgrade (battleaxe)

Ordered a cheap drum mag from taiwangun for my airsoft m4, however you get what you pay for and it has a major design flaw resulting in it failing nearly immediately.

This part is to replace the small plastic connector that goes between the motor assembly and the feeding tube/spring.

The original issue is that the spring bends round to a near 90 degree which puts a lot off sideways pressure on the connector, and as it's cheap weak plastic it just cracks and then snaps away.
