Here is my recently ended project: The UCL (Ultimate Chemical Light)!
Even if there isn't any chemical reaction in this object, I used old reformed tubes (diam 22mm) and found a way to use them in the cooler way as possible.
The 4 tubes are lighted by 4 leds, just right positionned to diffuse the light in the containt of the tubes, and color changing!
I designed the Ucl_body in Solidworks, and printed it.
I used 4 rgb leds like these :
