Large Thread Spool Holder

Bought a huge spool of thread (not sure what the size is called) and it does not fit anywhere on my sewing machine. I saw that the standard DIY fix is to drop the spool in a coffee mug. I like to have have tools that are right for the job. Coffee cups hold coffee!
