Printed with: Prusa MK3S+, eSun PETG, 0.20mm SPEED profile
The clamps and supports are printed with 20% infill, with supports for the hex nut indents; they got a bit mucky without it
2 x sphere mounts -36in - top half (177g, 14hr for one)
2 x sphere mounts -36in - bottom half: (267g, 18hr for one)
4 x sphere mounts -36in - clamp: (10g, 54min for one)
A single rib of the sphere has 23 standard bullet pixels on it and requires:
5 x pixel clips - 36in - four pixels
1 x pixel clips - 36in - three pixels
1 x 72" long 1/4" steel rod, cut to 53 1/4" long; 18 3/4" off cut is left, keep this for a 12" sphere. I bought these in 304 stainless from Online Metals.com; it is probably cheaper to get them locally. Arc the 1/4" steel rod using a ring roller (Harbor freight one does just fine); arc to 36" diameter.
Print these in the shown orientation with NO supports and with a brim (otherwise they won't adhere well).
Filament for a rib is 159g, 17hr print time
Print 32 ribs.
