This is a modular mars base that is composed of hexagonal shaped structures. The purpose of having a modular design is to allow the base to expand with a growing population. Each module also has its own foundation that is underground and is the heaviest part of the module. This provides structural stability against extreme weathers in the mars environment as well as a flat and level floor for the inhabitants.
