Cape Byron Lighthouse

Built in 1901 the Byron Bay lighthouse resides on the most Easterly point of Australia at Cape Byron. At an elevation of 118 metres and a range of 27 nautical miles (40 kilometres) the lighthouse has a 15 second rotation of the lamp. The lighthouse was built by Charles Harding the successor of James Barnet in the colonial style for which he was reknown.
