I bought a Harbor Freight shop vacuum and wanted to use it to collect the dust from my table saw. The part fits inside the 2 1/2in table saw port and the 1 3/8in vacuum hose goes inside the adapter. it is designed to be a pressure fit in both the table saw and the vacuum.
