Printrbot Simple 2014 Print and System Cooling

We have designed a mounting bracket and shroud for an 80mm fan to cool the Printrbot Simple 2014 extruder motor. This will solve the problem of having soft PLA filament getting jammed in-between the extruder gear and the alu-extruder due to excessive heat from the extruder motor. The extruder cooling system consists of 3 parts (the shroud, the shroud bracket, and the fan bracket). First install the shroud bracket around the alu-extuder. It snap fits on to the surrounding wood support and uses on
