I had endless trouble with my IR sensors on the MMU2s and none of the alternate designs worked great so I started from scratch, It has been working well on all my MMU2s setups for a while now.
You may need to move your MMU2s along the bar slightly to make sure there is clearance for the bowden to the hotend. Check it before you run it.
