Some days ago I designed a small Ant farm for small colonies:
It uses a "glass tube", I got from a german store called "Depot". It has an outer diameter of 39.5 mm and an ID of something around 38 mm. It´s not super round, thats why I had to play around a little bit with diameter settings. Maybe you can find one similiar.
