I needed a quick and easy way to hold a filament spool on my DIY 3D printer without having to buy one. I found three 3mm bolts and some aluminum extrusion locking nuts and mounted this on the top rail of the printer. I works well and has a flange to keep your spools from falling off. I designed the bottom to be flat so there would be no difficulty in printing.
