Another take on the topic of fabrics. It's a bit stronger and since the base of each segment consists of a square, the object is quite dense and has an armor-like structure.

I have included 3 examples with 13, 17 and 68 segments.

You can create your own shape of fabric with the individual pieces. To get an idea of how to place them next to each other just have a look at the examples :) The individual parts with numbers (e.g. "[…]_1"; "[…]_2") are the same parts but I already mirrored them / turned them around. You basically only need the 'center'-part, all other parts are just there to enable you to create a straight edge.

This object does not require flexible filament.

No Supports and do not print to fast. It's also important to have a leveled bed, otherwise individual segments might become loose during the print and cause the print to fail.

The retraction setting shouldn't be dialed in and I also highly recommend using a part cooling fan in order to reduce stringing.
