This is a chuck, such as for a lathe or laser rotary axis. It's designed to be a lot easier to print than any of the chuck designs I've seen up here. No support is needed. The jaws should be printed so that the numbers on them are oriented upwards (away from the bed). Designed to go onto a NEMA 17 stepper with a 5mm D-profile shaft. The only purchased hardware needed is a 3/4" snap ring (you can always modify it for metric...that's just what I had laying around). The scroll plate has a lot of play designed into it. This doesn't make slop because when tight the scroll plate pushes the jaws up and in, removing any play. The rest of the model is made for tight sliding fits. Depending on your printer, you may have to add some space here and there or do some sanding. For instance, I printed this on my Kossel Linear Plus and had to make the holes .4mm larger because it always makes holes .4mm too small. Some grease helped make it work smoothly too.
