On occasion, my 3D print needs assistance to remove bits of printed filament from the baseplate. Fingernails are wonderful for this purpose. If you have lots of remnant bits to remove, a scraper will help with this chore.
There are other baseplate scraper designs that I have looked at. They seem to suffer from a common issue. The scraper blade edge is integrated with the scraper handle. Unfortunately, the scraper edge can easily get damaged, especially if the printed edge design is too thin. To alleviate this design shortcoming, I have separated the design into two parts, a handle and a blade. Hence, the replacement of the blade no longer means reprinting the handle and blade, only the blade is now needed. You can even consider fabricating the blade in another filament type, for example, a carbon fibre strengthened material.
In my design, the handle and the blade snuggly clip together. In addition, the blade is secured with an M3 screw. Embedded into the handle is a knu
