3D Scan Platform with Needles ...

Here's a small platform (with integrated needle storage) to make the objects hover a little above the plate. The needles are usually hardly picked up by the scanner while the patterns in the platform is perfect to keep the scanner focused in hard to scan or smaller areas of the object.

Any needle with a 10mm head will do but you can find the needles I used here :
