I decided to Remix the 3D Solutech Master Spool since they offer 1kg refills at a great value. After printing Jalanjarosz version of the spool, I decided to overhaul the design but keep the aesthetic similar.
I included angled holes to secure the filament end, but I personally prefer to use filament clips with my spools.
Some of the new features include - .3mm layer resolution, larger threads, rounded edges, larger zip tie openings, flat spool sides, angled holes to secure the filament end, increased bore diameter, and larger openings in the hub to secure filament end.
