This sleek looking racing yacht is printed upright, standing on its stern, and therefore needs neither infill nor supports. It can be printed in any size that still fits into the build volume of your printer.
Printing tips:
- dial in slight overextrusion (like + 0,5%) for maximum waterproofness
- disable or minimize coasting
- disable infill
- disable supports
- z-seam: if you slice in Cura the deck and roof of the boat should point towards the front of the printer. If you then set the z-seam position to "Shortest" the whole seam should be at the junction of the deck and the left sidewall of the hull, i.e. it will look very clean and will also be above the waterline.
- Use a very generous brim, 12-20 brim lines depending on nozzle width. Bed adhesion of the stern of the hull must of course be flawless so clean the bed beforehand and heat it up thoroughly.
- 1,2mm wall thickness is recommended minimum, so use three perimeter lines with a 0,4mm nozzle and two perimeter lines with a 0,6
