this was a 3ds xl case i designed for my x gf it uses the game systems sholder buttons to hold the lid in place also if filed down a bit the bottom can hold the lid for you . the lid if its not set to print on its side should be stood up to print the base case shouldn't need supports for . i used 50% infill on it but you can put more if you want it stronger.
