Aethelflaed, Lady of Mercia

Ruling for a period of 7 years in the early 10th century, and eldest child of Alfred the Great of Wessex, Aethelflaed was a Politically and strategically astute ruler. She led expeditions against the vikings in the Danelaw, and built up defenses in her territory by emulating her Father's Burghs.
