This is a 40mm test cube with a 15mm circle & square inside. I designed it to check tool path strategies in the slicer software and the actual print performance. Watch & hear what the print head is actually doing and stop at 30-50% print status. Then you can check the print quality and also judge the infill quality.
The screenshot shows Simplify3D with 15% Honeycomb infill and 1mm retraction lift.
Background:
I had several issues where the nozzle was hitting previously printed lines of the actual layer with 100 mm/s print speed. Namely "Grid" and "Triangles" infill but also in large flat prints where the head was traveling to a new part of the layer and also was hitting stuff. I'm aware that it is no problem with slower print speeds but then I wouldn't have had bought a delta printer which is designed to print at high speeds. And it is also a matter of tool path strategy to prevent intra-layer line crossing.
